The SEENET-MTP Network awarded Andrei-Darius Dragomir two times absolute winner of the BPO2021 and BPO2022

The Balkan Physics Olympiad became one of the cornerstones of the Balkan Physics Union activities. The First, official, Balkan Physics Olympiad was held in Thessaloniki, in August 2019, under the support of the Hellenic Physical Society, EPS, and SEENET-MTP Network.

Since its first edition, SEENET-MTP has used to award the absolute winner of the Olympiad. During the COVID-19 pandemic, it was impossible to give “the trophy“ in person, at the official award ceremony.

In 2021 and 2022, for the first time, one student was the absolute winner of the two Olympiads.

The absolute winner of the BPO3 and BPO4 was Andrei-Darius Dragomir (Romania). During the traditional SEENET-MTP Workshop, a satellite event of the BPU12 Congress, the SEENET-MTP trophy was given to Andrei`s teacher, Ms. Delia Davidescu, due to Andrei`s duties out of Romania.

The special prize awarded by the SEENET-MTP Centre Niš was given on July 7th at the Polytechnic University of Bucharest, by the SEENET-MTP executive director Prof. Goran Djordjević. We sincerely congratulate Andrei-Darius Dragomir on this and many other wins, medals, and achievements, and wish him and our colleague Ms. Delia Davidescu many new ones in the future
