The 2026 CERN – SEENET-MTP – ICTP PhD School, “Advanced Topics in Contemporary Theoretical Physics,” starts today, September 6, at the Faculty of Physics, Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski,” Bulgaria, and runs until September 12.
The School brings together final-year master students, PhD students, and early-career researchers for a week of lectures and problem-solving sessions covering:
- Dynamical Systems and Holography
- Trends in Quantum and Conformal Field Theory
- Modified Gravity and Black Holes
- Particle Physics – Standard Model and Beyond
- Particles and Fields in Flat and Curved Spaces
Invited lecturers include Alexey Isaev (JINR, Dubna), Daniel Grumiller (TU Wien), Kalin Staykov (Sofia University), Marija Tomasevic (CERN), and Veselin Filev (IMI-BAS), with guest talks by Ignatios Antoniadis, Goran Djordjevic, Radoslav Rashkov, and Todor Popov, among others.
