The full announcement can be found below.

“In Pythagorean philosophy and religion, numbers are sacred as the
purest and most disembodied of ideas. The contemplation of geometrical
forms and the attainment of mathematical laws are the most effective
means of purifying the soul and the main link between man and the
divine.”

Ivan Todorov (1933-2025)

The eminent physicist Ivan Todorov made a number of important
contributions in the axiomatic field theory, conformal theory and
quantum groups applications. He published seminal papers and
influential monographs, written in collaboration  with distinguished
scholars.

The achievement that he was most proud of, however, was the
establishment of a  school of students and acolytes at the  Bulgarian
Academy of Sciences in Sofia. This seeded the Quantum Field Theory
seminar that started in the early 1970’s, as a vibrant forum for Prof. Todorov’s
working group. It has been running for more than five decades now,
with regular weekly meetings every Thursday at 13:15, at the Institute
for Nuclear Research and Nuclear Energy.

We would like to invite you to a  conference that has been convened in
homage Prof. Todorov, https://indico.global/event/16645/overview, to
celebrate his remarkable research achievements and to honor
lasting scientific legacy which continues to elevate the spirit of
inquiry  and inspire future generations.

Talks at the meeting will be devoted to the research on Quantum Field
Theory and related areas within the broad range of interests now
flourishing in the circle of Ivan Todorov’s students, collaborators,
and friends.

We look forward to welcoming you to Sofia!

There will be also a poster session, you can subscribe for https://indico.global/event/16645/page/5409-application-for-poster-session
