In particular the geometry of the scalar manifold and the gauge-\u2060kinetic function will be characterized, and the couplings and the scalar potential induced by gaugings are introduced. Subsequently we discuss the occurence of these supergravities in string compactifications and important applications such as spontaneous supersymmetry breaking and supersymmetric black holes.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Leonardo Castellani<\/strong><br \/>\n<em> Supergravity I<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">In my lectures I will cover:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>N=1 D=4 supergravity in components.<\/li>\n<li>Group-\u2060geometric approach, superfields and superspace.<\/li>\n<li>Auxiliary fields and off-\u2060shell closure of the supersymmetry algebra<\/li>\n<li>Superalgebras, spinors in higher dimensions.<\/li>\n<li>Supergravities in higher dimensions, Kaluza-\u2060Klein compactifications.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Branislav Cvetkovic<\/strong><br \/>\n<em>Poincar\u00e9 gauge theory<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Throughout the course we review the basic structure of Poincar\u00e9 gauge theory (PGT) of gravity, with emphasis on its fundamental principles and geometric interpretation as well as possible applications. This 5 days course includes the following topics:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Global Poincar\u00e9 symmetry, the symmetry of the fundametal interactions in the absence of gravity.<\/li>\n<li style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Localization of Poincar\u00e9 symmetry, introduction of compensating fields which are found to represent gravitational interaction.<\/li>\n<li style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Geometric interpretation of PGT and the underlying Riemann-Cartan structure of spacetime.<\/li>\n<li style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Einstein-Cartan theory as the simplest example of PGT and its applications in cosmology.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Voja Radovanovic<\/strong><br \/>\n<em>Introduction to Supersymmetry<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">In theses lectures we give a brief introduction to N=1 D=4 supersymmetry. We will discuss: Lorentz and Poincare group, two component (Weyl) spinors, Fierz identites, super-Poincare algebra.
