{"id":5,"date":"2015-04-27T14:03:01","date_gmt":"2015-04-27T14:03:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/phd.seenet-mtp.info\/?page_id=5"},"modified":"2026-06-22T19:23:01","modified_gmt":"2026-06-22T19:23:01","slug":"general-information","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.seenet-mtp.info\/phd\/","title":{"rendered":"The CERN &#8211; SEENET-MTP PhD Training program"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The main part of the&nbsp;<strong>CERN &#8211; SEENET-MTP PhD Training Program<\/strong>&nbsp;consists in a <strong>series of intense, self-connected, one-week seminars for PhD students<\/strong>. In some exceptional well justified cases Master students in the last year, as well as young postdocs could be included. As a rule, each seminar will include lectures followed by appropriate exercises, given by 2-3 professors-specialist and 1-2 assistants. It is planned to organize 3-5 seminars per year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.seenet-mtp.info\/full-members\">full SEENET-MTP member nodes<\/a>&nbsp;are the main partners in the Program, but the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.seenet-mtp.info\/network-nodes\/other-network-nodes\">other nodes<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.seenet-mtp.info\/partners\">partner institutions<\/a>, as well as individuals, are also able to&nbsp;join the program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Travel expenses and most of the local expenses are&nbsp;covered.&nbsp;The selection of students and the coordination of the program are&nbsp;the joint responsibility of the&nbsp;Program Committee and the local organizer of the particular events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.seenet-mtp.info\/news\/ictp-has-joined-the-cern-seenet-cooperation-agreement\">ICTP officially joined the CERN &#8211; SEENET-MTP PhD program in 2019.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We expect some high-level institutions from Europe to join and support the program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The 3rd cycle of the Program<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The year 2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/sites.google.com\/view\/phd-atctp-2026\/home\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/sites.google.com\/view\/phd-atctp-2026\/home\">Advanced Topics in Contemporary Theoretical Physics<\/a><\/strong><br>6 \u2013 12 September, 2026 (Sofia, Bulgaria)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The year 2025<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/phd.seenet-mtp.info\/seminars\/bucharest-2025\/bucharest-2025-school-modern-methods-in-quantum-gravity-and-cosmology\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"807\">Modern Methods in Quantum Gravity and Cosmology<\/a><\/strong><br>1 &#8211; 7 July 2025 (Bucharest-Magurele, Romania)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The third cycle of the Program began in 2024. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/phd.seenet-mtp.info\/bucharest-2024-minischool-mathematical-methods-in-gravitation-and-cosmology\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"790\">Minischool Mathematical Methods in Gravitation and Cosmology<\/a><\/strong><br>13 &#8211; 17 November 2024 (Bucharest-Magurele, Romania)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/phd.seenet-mtp.info\/seminars\/thessaloniki-2024\/thessaloniki-2024-school-on-field-theory-and-applications-in-hep\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"763\">School on Field theory and applications in HEP<\/a><\/strong><br>9 &#8211; 16 June 2024 (Thessaloniki, Greece)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/phd.seenet-mtp.info\/preparatory-program-nis-thessaloniki-2024\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"734\"><strong>Preparatory program<\/strong><\/a><br>7 &#8211; 8 June 2024, (Ni\u0161, Serbia \/ hybrid)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;\">The SEENET-MTP Office welcomes students interested in participating in the Program who are not individual members of the SEENET-MTP yet to join us by filling out&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.seenet-mtp.info\/registration\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the registration form for the Network<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/phd.seenet-mtp.info\/the-2nd-cycle-of-the-program-2019-2023\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"753\"><strong>The 2nd cycle of the Program<\/strong> <strong>(2019 &#8211; 2023)<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/phd.seenet-mtp.info\/the-1st-cycle-of-the-program-2015-2018\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"750\">The 1st cycle of the Program (2015 &#8211; 2018)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The main part of the&nbsp;CERN &#8211; SEENET-MTP PhD Training Program&nbsp;consists in a series of intense, self-connected, one-week seminars for PhD students.
