Institute of Physics is one of seven institutes which constitute the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics. The named faculty is one of the oldest faculties, forerunners of the first modern university within Macedonia, Saints Cyril and Methodius University established in 1949. At present the Institute of Physics does not have any internal structure, although until recently it was subdivided in four small units.
